Guatemalan Medium Roast
$11.00 – $22.00
Huehuetenango is one of Guatemala’s three non-volcanic regions, as well as its highest and driest under cultivation, making it one of the best for coffee production. The Huehuetenango region, near the Mexican border, has the highest altitudes (between 5000-6000 feet), producing complex, fruity flavors. Coffee from Guatemala is known to be sweet with a medium to full body and lots of chocolate flavor notes. These days, Guatemala is the 10th largest coffee producer in the world and is second only to Colombia when it comes to the percentage of specialty-grade beans produced there. Most coffee plants in this country are of the Typica and Bourbon varieties; though Guatemala does have a handful of geisha farms, most located on the slopes of Volcan Acatenango near Antigua.
