Brazil produces about 30 percent of the world’s coffee supply. The major growing regions of Brazil are Cerrado, Sul Minas and Minas Gerais. Each region produces excellent quality Brazilian coffee. This coffee has mild acidity, medium body and medium aroma. Coffee growing elevations in the Cerrado region average about 850 meters. The growing areas are huge, providing large quantities of coffee. Cerrado coffee is generally clean with a good body (creamy mouthfeel), low acidity, well-balanced, and often exhibiting a nutty and even slightly caramelly flavor, perhaps even malty, but more chocolaty if given a darker roast.
